Junior PGA Championship – Northern Ohio PGA Qualifiers

You must live in Northern Ohio to play in the Northern Ohio PGA Junior Championship Qualifiers and be between the ages of 11-18.

Juniors will play in the age division they will be during their respective Junior PGA Championship.

The NOPGA Junior PGA Section Championship consists of a series of events prior to the Section Championship for boys and girls 11-15, and 16-18 (Players who are 19 years old are not eligible to advance to the Junior Sectional Championship, but are still able to play in the events prior to accumulate Player of the Year points for the NOPGA Tour Championship.)

The NOPGA Junior Section Championship will be held at Portage Country Club and Westfield Country Club. Day 1, June 6th, will be held at Westfield Country Club and Day 2, June 7th, will be held at Portage Country Club.

**All events, including the Section Championship, build points towards the Tour Championship at the end of the season**

Two boys and two girl top finisher in the 11-18 age division will have partial expenses paid to go to the National PGA Finals.

All of the 18-hole Junior Tour events have the same level of competition throughout the entirety of the season. The NOPGA Tour Championship at Club Walden is meant to showcase Northern Ohio's best junior golfers throughout the season.

Player of the Year Points

The top finishers within each age division will receive Player of the Year points based on their finish (Please see table to the right). Player of the Year points will be distributed at each tournament. At the Junior PGA Championship and the Tour Championship points will be doubled.

The Player of the year points list is the main method for inviting players to Invitation only events. Invitations to these events are based on players winning their age division at an event or placing high in the player of the year points list by a specified cutoff date.
