Tyler shot a two round total of 80-71–151 to win by one shot over second place finisher Matthew Frey of Broadview Heights, OH.
Jillian shot a two round total of 77-72–149 to win by one shot over second place finisher Haylee Harford of Leavittsburg, OH.

With Round 1 of the Northern Ohio PGA Junior Section Championship in the books, the current leaders are Benjamin Meola from Painesville, OH and Danielle Nicholson from Geneva, OH. Benjamin has a one stroke lead and faces a strong challenge from a bunched up leaderboard in the Boys 13-18 Age Division. Danielle has at least a three stroke lead over the rest of the competitors in the Girls 13-18 Age Divison.

Boys and girls are preparing for the 2012 Northern Ohio PGA Junior PGA Championship presented by Under Armour and Heritage F.S.E. to be held on June 25-26, 2012 at Shady Hollow Country Club in Massillon, Ohio.
The winners of the boys’ and girls’ division of the Northern Ohio PGA Junior PGA Championship qualify to join approximately 150 of the nation’s top junior golfers in The PGA of America’s flagship junior event, the Junior PGA Championship presented by Under Armour and Heritage F.S.E., July 31-Aug. 3, 2012, at Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Fort Wayne, Ind.
The 37th Junior PGA Championship presented by Under Armour and Heritage F.S.E., is open to one boy and one girl champion from each of the 41 PGA Sections, winners of the nine PGA Junior Series events and a few other national junior tournaments conducted throughout the year and special invitees who have not reached their 19th birthdays and who have not started college.
The Junior PGA Championship has traditionally been a stepping-stone for many of today’s PGA and LPGA Tour professionals as well as current collegiate stars. Past Junior PGA Championship competitors who have gone on to successful professional careers include: Stewart Cink, In-Bee Park, Jim Furyk, Trevor Immelman, Cristie Kerr, Anthony Kim, Justin Leonard, Michelle McGann, Phil Mickelson, Sean O’Hair, Grace Park, Dottie Pepper, Scott Verplank, David Toms, Michelle Wie and Tiger Woods.
