Northern Ohio PGA Junior Tour Changes, Cancellations, & Postponements (In order of most recent changes):

(Announced May 6th)

Due to growing concerns related to the COVID-19 epidemic, the National Junior PGA Boys & Girls Championships have been cancelled for the 2020 season. However, we are still excited about hosting the Junior PGA Section Championship at Portage Country Club on June 8-9, 2020. Registration for the Junior PGA Section Championship will be taken on a first-come, first-served, basis this year. Due to COVID-19 altering the Northern Ohio PGA Junior Tour Schedule, we have decided to hold open registration for the championship instead of hosting qualifiers.

The Section Championship is a 36-hole event for Boys and Girls ages 11-18 on June 8-9 at Portage Country Club and has been submitted for Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings.

Registration for the Junior PGA Section Championship will open May 15th along with all of the remaining events in June and July. We highly recommend signing up sooner than later as we have limited spots available. Membership registration will also re-open on May 15th.

(Announced May 1st)

Due to the uncertainty of when we will be permitted to officially begin our Junior Tour Programming, we have decided to put a temporary pause on any Tournament and Membership Registrations.

We are still allowing Junior Golfers to apply for membership but any membership fees will  remain pending and will not be processed until May 15th.

All events in June and July are scheduled to reopen for event registration on May 15th.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to monitor this evolving situation.

PGA Junior League:
In alignment with CDC and White House recommendations, the season remains postponed until May 10. We will continue to align national policies with the national authorities while advising each PGA Professional to also follow their local authorities. With some local stay in place orders starting to extend beyond May 10, we have developed scenarios to accommodate a variety of potential start dates should the national authorities extend their recommendation as well.

Drive Chip & Putt:

Update 4/16: Although Drive, Chip, & Putt has been cancelled for the 2020 season, the Northern Ohio PGA is still committed to providing quality golf programs for Junior Golfers. Juniors have the option to play in 9 hole events with a parent/family caddie or 18 hole events on their own.
