Liberatore & Morell Are Kenny Novak Champs

Luke Liberatore from Solon, OH and Halley Morell from Brecksville, OH are Kenny Novak Champs. Each player was also the recipient of the Al O’Neil Scholarship Award. The exciting culmination of the 13 Northern Ohio PGA Junior Tour events has concluded at the 30th Kenny Novak Championship which was contested on July 31-August 1 at Club Walden in Aurora, Ohio. Juniors automatically qualified to compete in the Championship because they were the winner of one of the events leading up to the Championship. The Year Ending Point List was also used to determine qualifiers in each age group who were invited to participate in the Championship.

Luke Liberatore from Solon, OH defeated Cody Tuttle in a one hole playoff to capture first place in the Boys 16-19 Age Divsion. Both players shot a two round score of 149(+5) to tie for first place before the playoff. Halley Morell of Brecksville, OH shot a two round score of 82-76–158(+14) to win the Girls 16-19 Age Division.

Jared Wilson from Columbiana, OH shot an 18 hole score of 74 to win first place in the Boys 13-15 Age Division.

Joey Vitale from Warren, OH shot an 18 hole score of 80 to win first place in the Boys 12 Age Division.

Jacinta Pikunas, from Boardman, OH defeated Reva Morris from Newbury, OH in a one hole playoff to win first place in the Girls 13-15 Age Division. Both players shot an 18 hole score of 81 to tie for first place before the playoff.

Hannah Keffler fom Canfield, OH shot an 18 hole score of 101 to win first place in the Girls 12 Age Division.
