Recap of Junior Golf Week 2: Wooster CC (AJGA & Jr Golf Scoreboard Results)
The Northern Ohio PGA Junior Tours is gradually getting into Full Swing with our second Weekend of Junior Golf! On Saturday, May 18th, the Junior Tours held their second Junior PGA Section Championship Qualifier at Wooster CC. Kelly Kranstuber- Wooster’s Head Golf Professional- graciously hosted 100 Junior members for the second of SIX Qualifiers that offer spots into our Junior PGA Section Championship. To cap off a great day at Wooster CC, Bruce Yoder (Boys 16-19) made a Hole-in-One on the 14th hole. The hole was a 168 yard Par 3! Wooster CC was the first day we began a Hole-in-One Competition to give away a Ping Golf Bag to the first Junior Member who got a Hole-in-One. The Competition lasted only 3 hours before Bruce got his Hole-in-One. Please note that there was not a single Hole-in-One during the whole 2018 season!
The Third Qualifier is being held this Saturday at Riceland GC with a 9am Shotgun along with the fourth qualifier being held at Portage CC – One of Ohio’s Oldest and well known Country Clubs (Est. 1894). Although both events are full, there is an established waiting list for anyone who wishes to have a chance to play! Please contact Bradley Sims at bsims@pgahq.com if you are interested.
The fifth qualifier will be held at Lake Forest CC on June 3rd with few spots remaining! The deadline to register is May 27th.

With the completion of the Trumbull CC and Wooster CC Events, we finalized our first 36-Hole Series for Junior Golf Scoreboard, which also included an AJGA PBE Star to the Low Scorer of Girls 16-19 and the Boys & Girls 11-15.
