Kyle Rodes Wins 88th Habitec Toledo Open

Kyle Rodes, Plymouth, MI, wins his first Toledo Open shooting 9 under par (133) with rounds of 69-64. Round 1 consisted of 16 pars and 2 birdies and todays round included 10 pars, 6 birdies, 1 eagle, and alone bogey on the 18th hole.

Jon Jones, Youngstown, OH, won the Senior Division with rounds of 74-69 (143). He won by 1 shot over Gary Robison, Canton, OH and Gary Resnais, Painesville, OH.

An 88 year Northwest Ohio tradition continued on September 17 & 18, 2018 at Highland Meadows Golf Club. 138 players teed off during the first round of the 88th Habitec Toledo Open. The Habitec Toledo Open, sponsored by Habitec Security & presented by Canberra Corporation, Club Car & Century Equipment, is open to all PGA of America members and apprentices, non-PGA professionals, and amateurs with a handicap limit of 5.0 or less. The tournament was founded in 1929 and boasts a top notch list of past winners, including: Byron Nelson (World Golf Hall of Famer), Lee Williamson (PGA Tour), John Mills (Web.com Tour), Ryan Armour (Web.com & PGA Tour) and Frank Stranahan (renowned amateur).
