Mallard Creek Wins Inaugural NOPGA PGA Jr. League Section Championship
After a weekend of exemplary play from 130 Northern Ohio junior golfers, the Mallard Creek team came out on top to win the Inaugural NOPGA PGA Jr. League Section Championship. 13 All-Star teams (Akron, Toledo 2, Youngstown, Mallard Creek, Cleveland East 1, Cleveland South East 1, Cleveland East 2, Cleveland West 2, Cleveland South East 2, Toledo 1, Medina/Mansfield, Cleveland East 3, and Cleveland West 1) started the competition at Eagle Creek Golf Club on Saturday afternoon with 4 teams (Mallard Creek, Toledo, Cleveland West #1, and Cleveland South East #2) moving on to the morning semi-final round on Sunday. Mallard Creek and Cleveland South East #2 teams battled it out in the afternoon finals match with Mallard Creek coming out victorious. Mallard Creek advances to the PGA Jr. League Golf Regional Championship at Valley Brook Country Club on September 15-16, 2018.
