The previous record was 276 entries, set last year when the Open returned to Westfield for the second consecutive year.

The field consists of 116 professionals and 172 amateurs.

The 2023 event has attracted players from more than 100 cities and 44 of Ohio’s 88 counties.

In 2022, Jordan Gilkison, a Kent State University freshman from Springboro, Ohio, became the first amateur in 44 years to win the Open. The last amateur to win was NOPGA Hall-of-Famer Bobby Lewis in 1978 at Millcreek C.C.
