Casey Schrader is 2018 Northern Ohio PGA Section Champion!

Casey Schrader, Pepper Pike Club, led the field all three days of the Northern Ohio PGA Professional Championship at Chagrin Valley Country Club, August 27-29, 2018. He went into today’s final round with a six stroke lead over his nearest competitors. He didn’t finish with his strongest round; shooting a 73 today, but it was good enough to hold off a last round charge by Mike Stone, Belmont Country Club and Jim Troy, Mt. Vernon Country Club who tied for second. Schrader’s final score was 69-68-73-210 (-3). Mike Stone had the low round of the day at 69.  Full Results

Schrader along with Five other Northern Ohio PGA Members (Mike Stone, Jim Troy, Tony Adcock, Nick Gustin, and Craig Burrows) will advance to the 52nd edition of the PGA Professional Championship presented by Club Car and OMEGA. Jaysen Hansen earned an exemption into the National event by finishing top twenty in the 2018 PGA Professional Championship.

The 2019 PGA Professional National Championship features a purse of $650,000, with live television coverage of all four rounds by the Golf Channel. A 312-player field of the nation’s finest PGA Professionals will assemble in Bluffton, SC. The field will be reduced to the low 90 players plus ties after the completion of 36 holes. After the completion of 54 holes, the field will be reduced to the low 70 players plus ties for the final round.
