After the opening round, Elijah Stewart holds the Overall Boys Division lead at 4-under par (66).
On the girls’ side, Saijal Jawa and Kayla Knaze are tied at the top of the leaderboard after each carded a 74.

This afternoon, student-athletes from Newton Falls, Wellsville, and Niles McKinley High Schools gathered at Old Avalon Golf Course for a Clubs Fore Kids instructional clinic, where local PGA Professionals helped them build skills and confidence on the course.
A special thank you to John and Sally Taylor of Paige & Byrnes, whose generous support of the Bob Woodfin Junior Classic and Clubs Fore Kids program in the Youngstown area continues to create opportunities for junior golfers throughout the Mahoning Valley.

Earlier this week, the East Canton boys and girls golf teams received instruction from Renee Powell, LPGA/PGA, and David Swan, PGA, at Clearview Golf Club through our Clubs Fore Kids program. 💙 The programs received 10 sets of clubs through the NOPGA Section Foundation’s program.
