π A new Ohio golf tradition begins.
On September 30, the Northern Ohio PGA and Southern Ohio PGA will come together at NorthStar Golf Club in Sunbury for the inaugural Ohio HOPE Cup.
The Ryder Cup-style event will bring together 24 Veterans and Active-Duty Military, with 12 PGA HOPE graduates representing each Section in a day centered around competition, camaraderie and connection.
For nearly 30 years, Northern and Southern Ohio have shared a special rivalry through the Ohio Cup Matches. Now, PGA HOPE graduates will have the opportunity to represent their Section and compete for a Cup of their own.
One State. Two Sections. One Cup.

Just weeks after earning his PGA Membership and becoming eligible for the event, Michael Balcar, PGA, is a Section Champion! π
The Brandywine Country Club Assistant Professional fired rounds of 67-68-65 to finish at 16-under par, capturing the 76th Northern Ohio PGA Professional Championship by seven strokes over runner-up Jim Troy, PGA.
What a way to earn your first Section Championship. Congratulations, Michael! π
