Jake Scott rewrote the record book.

A historic opening round at the 105th Ohio Open Championship saw Scott fire a championship-record 10-under 60 on Firestone Country Club’s Fazio Course to take a two-shot lead after Day 1.

Tyler Goecke sits second at 8-under, Kevin Hall is third at 7-under, and a crowded group of seven players is tied for fourth at 6-under as the chase continues into Round 2.

Tyler Goecke of Xenia fired an opening-round 8-under 64 on Firestone Country Club’s North Course (par 72) to take the clubhouse lead following the morning wave of the 105th Ohio Open Championship.

The afternoon wave is now underway as the field looks to chase Goecke’s bogey-free performance through the opening round.
