The Northern Ohio PGA Section Foundation is pleased to provide financial assistance to qualifying juniors to help offset the cost of Northern Ohio PGA Junior Tour events. The Mission of the NOPGA Section Foundation: The Northern Ohio PGA Section Foundation was created for the purpose of administering the charitable and philanthropic affairs on behalf of the golf professionals within the Northern Ohio PGA Section. These affairs include, but are not limited to, development, promotion and growth of adult and junior golf programs, scholarship programs for children, programs for minority and underprivileged youth in Northern Ohio, and contributions to allied charitable organizations. If you feel that you may qualify for financial assistance from the Northern Ohio PGA Section Foundation, please complete the online NOPGA Junior Tour Financial Assistance Application. Financial Assistance is awarded on a first come, first served basis dependent on the number of qualified applicants and the availability of funds.

The Drive Chip & Putt Championship is a free, nationwide junior golf development competition for boys and girls ages 7-15, aimed at growing the game. Focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf, each player gets three attempts in each skill and earns points based on distance and/or accuracy for a total score. The Northern Ohio PGA welcomes players between the ages of 8-15 years old to participate in our 9-hole Futures Tour Program! The Futures Tour was created as a way to give Young Golfers the ability to see what Tournament Golf is like in a fun environment. Parents and family members are permitted to caddie for their junior in order to assist in the round.
PGA Junior League Golf is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls ages 13 and under to learn and enjoy the game of golf. With each team captained by a PGA or LPGA professional, PGA Junior League Golf offers a focus on fun, recreation, good health and sportsmanship.

The Northern Ohio PGA Junior Tour is a group of tournaments for boys and girls ages 11-19. The tournaments are held at some of the premier golf facilities in Northern Ohio. These events are designed to offer juniors of all skill levels the opportunity to compete and enjoy learning how to handle the competition of tournament play.
The Northern Ohio PGA Junior Tour has seen growing interest in our Membership for more 36-Hole Championships to not only prepare Juniors for College golf, but also to help Juniors to be noticed by College Coaches without having the financial burden of travel golf. All players registered will compete in an overall division: Boys 11-19 and Girls 11-19. All Boys will play from the same tee and all girls will play from the same tee.
The Northern Ohio PGA Collegiate Series is a series of tournaments designed for young men and young women ages 18-22. These events are designed to provide preparation for the college golf experience by conducting tournaments on more challenging golf courses and offering a higher level of competition.
How to Qualify:
-Winners of the Junior PGA Championship will earn an automatic bid as long as they are members of their respective Jr. Tour. (Northern/Southern Ohio)
-5 boys and 5 girls will be selected from the Player of the Year points list in the 16-19 age division
-2 boys and 2 girls will be selected from the Player of the Year points list in the 13-15 age division
There is a membership fee of $125.00 for the 18-hole events and $80.00 for the Futures Tour (9 Holes).
There are no membership fees for the collegiate events.
Each 9-hole junior event is $45.00
Each 18-hole junior event is $75.00
Each 18-hole collegiate event is $80.00
Each 36-hole junior event is $170.00
With the current design of our tour, we are unable to have juniors play on both the 18 Hole tour and the 9 Hole tour. If your junior wants to start out in the 9 hole tour, and switch over to the 18 hole tour, we are able to do that. If you would like to switch membership during the season, contact a NOPGA Junior Golf Staff Member.
The cancellation fee is $30 up until the registration deadline listed on the event. After the deadline, the cancellation fee will be half of the tournament entry fee. Any no call/no show to an event will result in no refund given.
You may find your tee times four days prior to each event on the junior tour website and an email will be sent to you telling you that the tee times are posted. Please keep your email address up to date to receive notifications!
Spectator carts are restricted to those individuals with a handicap placards or at the course’s discretion.
The Northern Ohio PGA Junior Tour has a financial assistance program available to all junior tour players that can be accessed by clicking here.
-All Financial Assistance Applications will be reviewed on a seasonal basis by the Northern Ohio PGA Section Staff and Junior Golf Committee.
-Financial Assistance is awarded on a first come, first served basis dependent on the number of qualified applicants and the availability of funds.
-Applicants will be notified at the email address listed on application regarding amount of funds awarded.
-The award of the Financial Assistance does not guarantee entry into specific events. Recipients will still be required to follow standard NOPGA Junior Tour program requirements and procedures to be entered into any clinics, seminars, or tournaments.
-The Financial Assistance Award will be distributed in one lump sum as a credit on the recipients NOPGAJR Blue Golf Player’s Account and can be used for Tournament Registration for their respective Tour (18 Hole Junior Series or the 9 Hole Futures Tour).

The age division that a junior participates in is determined by the junior’s age as of August 4, 2023.
Caddies are permitted for the NOPGA 9-Hole Futures Tour. Caddies are NOT permitted for the 18-Hole Junior Tour. Please be aware of our caddie regulations listed below :
Northern Ohio PGA Futures Tour – Caddie Information
-Only Futures Tour Players are permitted to have caddies. Note: Once Futures Tour players move into the NOPGA Junior Tour, juniors will no longer be permitted to have a caddie.
We are including caddies for the NOPGA Futures Tour to focus on pace of play as well as the education of our players.
-The duties of a caddie on our tour are as follows: Carry the bag, help with club selection, help with etiquette, rake the bunkers, tend the flagstick, help with scorecards, transport players from green to tee, and assist with rules of golf.
-A caddie on our Futures Tour IS PERMITTED – to give advice to their player, caddie for more than one player, help all players with the rules of golf.
-A caddie on our Futures Tour IS NOT PERMITTED – to stand behind the player while he/she plays a stroke, kick or prevent a ball from its original path or placement, or give advice to other players, unless you are also caddying for them.
-The player is responsible for ANY penalties the caddie may have committed.
-Caddies are NOT PERMITTED to join their player in the scoring area. Players are responsible for their own scorecards in the scoring area.
